DECORATIOAll the architectural materials, furnishings and decorative objects have been sourced painstakingly from the across the 17,000 islands which form the Indonesian archipelago: different kinds of stone, petrified wood, carved teak, ironwood, lava, mother of pearl, terracotta totems and statuary, shields and spears, lanterns and chandeliers, necklaces and combs… brought directly from Java, Toraja, Sumatra, Sumba, Madura, Papua New Guinea, and other islands. All the pieces are unique, chosen from antique dealers throughout Indonesia, or handmade to order by Balinese or Javanese artisans.
The 25-meter long pool provides a beautiful place to swim and play games. Sun-lovers will enjoy the king-size bed; the “wise” can choose to enjoy the shelter of the pool house to share a glass of something beautiful, finish the latest novel, or take a siesta in the shade of the balés with their soft mattresses.
